On February 28, 2021, Lt. Erika Castellucci was involved in domestic violence incident while drunk with her girlfriend at their home. There was an independent witness who saw Castellucci yanking her girlfriend around by her sweater and preventing her from leaving the residence that was never put on a witness list or interviewed in the IA by the Kissimmee Police Department. The statements from that independent witness were completely ignored by the SAO and the Kissimmee Police Department after Castellucci's girlfriend declined to participate in prosecution. Castellucci's statements to the St. Cloud Police Department were inconsistent, indicating untruthfulness. Additionally, Castellucci's case with the States Attorney's Office was closed in less than two weeks, unlike the majority of domestic violence cases where the SAO declined prosecution. Castellucci admitted having alcohol problems but was not mandated to rehabilitation and continues to work. Despite Captain Succi recommending demotion Chief Odell, due to the friendship between him and Castellucci made excuses for her to remain employed without a demotion.
