I was waiting for management for La paz parking to address an issue with their parking system when the officer who identified himself as badge number 4190 Thomas. Decided to be aggressive while touching my vehicle without an probable cause he threatened me with being arrested even though there was no crime committed. The officer continued to verbally abuse and harass me with his personal feeling and personal perspective in which he communicated he would act on. At that time he continued to put his weight on my vehicle while yelling threatening comments " I'm taking your ass to jail - watch". Another officer who wouldn't identify himself used the same violations as a tactic to scare, coerce me to agree with third party present. The second officer did not hear listen or respond to my side of communication. He knocked on my glass window with force to break it, a crime had not been committed nor was I a suspect of any sort. It wasn't until I began to ask questions and other patrons to be a witness the second officer commanded officer Thomas to cut on his body cam, once did as commanded he changed his demeanor while still sharing his personal view regarding what is confirmed to be a civil matter. They both suggested to parking vendor I get banned from the property without valid reason. The officer asked for my driver's license AFTER the issue between the vendor and I was already resolved, I gave my driver's license for parking management to record my personal information upon completion when I asked to have my identification returned he harassed me by pulling back on my license while still in his possession to threaten me again and speak unprofessionally to me, missing the opportunity to explain what just transpired.
*This took place June 17th 2026 on the entry level of green parking deck at The Battery Atlanta.
I am working to recover video that is available of entire incident.
In speaking with La paz parking they do not have record of any ban from the property. My rights were violated by both officers who looked to pursue personal interests while communicating personal bias in uniform. The fear mongering and threats as an abuse of Authority I was subjected to while no crime was committed is disheartening for me to experience as well as embarrassing. After reviewing the Brady material offenses I am confident various offenses were conducted at the time of this situation. Please have all officers involved reprimanded. Thank you
