This officer is nearly 2 hours outside Springfield trolling a campus town for ways to cite people for anything.
I’m a married 40 year old man, not a college student. I’m driving last campus and my phone lights up for a second from my wife about our child and I check the message and he pulls me over with a nearly 200 dollar ticket for “using a communication device in my car”. You know, like every cop is doing all day with multiple interfaces.
Find real work to do. Stop trying to peg drunk college students and screwing law abiding citizens in your search. You’re not being an objective officer, I’ve lived here long enough to know when cops are fishing with bias for college students for an easy mark. My tax dollars aren’t paying for you to fish in a town you don’t belong to for any flicker of light you see in someone’s cab. Terrible, shameful police work.
