Description: Officer Capano was inaccurate and untruthful in completing a motor vehicle accident / crash report. As a result, Officer Capano was suspended for 28 days. Specifically, Officer Capano reported inaccurate information to his immediate supervisor resulting in an approved NJTR1 crash report based on conflicting statements. Officer Capano filled out an Employee Preliminary Accident Report where he falsified the facts of the incident, specifically by stating he had his overhead emergency lights activated when he went through the intersection of Norfolk / Orange St, which ultimately resulted in a motor vehicle crash.
