Description: On December 24, 2023, Officer Alberto Sanabria was charged with domestic violence offenses alleged to have occurred on or about December 23, 2023, in the City of Paterson. Specifically, he was charged on a summons complaint with one count of Terroristic Threats, a crime of third degree in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:12‐3b; one count of Cyber Harassment, a crime of the fourth degree in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33‐4.1‐1a(1); and one count of Stalking, a crime of the fourth degree in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:12‐10b. Officer Sanabria allegedly sent threatening text messages to, went uninvited to the place of work of, and went uninvited to the residence of a party covered by the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act. These charges remain open in Superior Court and Officer Sanabria is presumed innocent at this time.
