Description: On July 29, 2022 Officer Edgar Delgado, while off‐duty, was arrested by the Clifton Police Department in relation to a motor vehicle crash that took place the same day, in the area of Central Avenue and Yearance Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey. Officer Delgado was charged with Assault by Auto Causing Serious Bodily Injury, within 1,000ft of School Property, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Endangering an Injured Victim, Hindering Apprehension and
Driving While Intoxicated. A criminal disposition has not yet been reached and an Administrative investigation, which has already begun, will be resumed once the case has been remanded to our authority.
