Description: On August 11, 2022 Officer Veloz was arrested by the Port Authority of New York / New Jersey Office of the Inspector General in Staten Island, New York for toll evasion. Officer Veloz was charged with NY Penal Law 155.30 Grand Larceny, a crime of the fouth degree, which is equivalent to a third degree theft in New Jersey. Officer Veloz was entered into the New York State equivalent of Pre‐Trial Intervention in the Richmond County Superior Court. Officer Veloz resigned from the Bayonne Police Department on November 1, 2022. Officer Veloz' resignation, not in good standing, was finalized in February 2023.
